Such a Sustainable Year -
The Podcast
The Italian Wine Girl discovers the first zero-emission Barolo harvest and meets its architects.
Together with Laura Donadoni, we learn what lies at the heart of this global premiere.
ABOUT THIS PODCAST
FPT Webcast is pleased to host Laura Donadoni, aka The Italian Wine Girl, a famous wine writer, journalist and blogger based in the USA, but with a legion of followers worldwide, whose mission is to educate discerning customers about Italian wine.
In the joyous setting of the Grape Harvest Festival, held in Fontanafredda winery (Langhe Region, Piedmont, Italy) in September, Laura interviews two very special guests: Pierpaolo Biffali, Vice President of Product Engineering at FPT Industrial, and Andrea Farinetti, Director at Fontanafredda, the historic 100% organic winery founded in 1858 by the first King of Italy. Pierpaolo tells us about the partnership between FPT Industrial, Fontanafredda and New Holland Agriculture – established to enable the world’s first Barolo wine harvest with zero emissions – and the key role of the biomethane FPT Industrial F28 Natural Gas engine, while Andrea reveals how the opportunity to work in the Vigna La Rosa cru with the first concept of a New Holland TK Methane Power crawler tractor was the “spark” that triggered a host of new projects as part of the winery’s Green Renaissance initiative.
